Journey to Mexico

The journey takes place on the beautiful island of Isla Mujeres off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico. Practice daily yoga with Sara and Michelle, along with a range of other wellness focused activities. Enjoy fresh and healthy food, sandy beaches, and travel with a small group of like-minded adult travelers.

Michelle has been teaching yoga since 2008. Her career began as a dancer in New York and over the last ten years evolved her study of movement and dance to include yoga, meditation, fitness.  Movement isn’t restricted to just on a mat or in a studio – or gym, but a dance to finding grace.   She has led yoga teacher training's and guided many students to find their path in yoga.   It is unique connections with others she seeks, a voice to the authentic soul and a dance with the wild heart.

Sara Bisso

Group Fitness and Cycle teacher at Life Time

Leads fitness retreats 


Sara is a certified Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Massage Therapist.  She teaches a variety of classes including cycling, strength, and water training.  Sara is a motivational, energetic instructor and believes everyone is an athlete.  She enjoys endurance sports and is in her 16th year of mountain bike racing.  She understands the value in cross-training (cardio and strength) paired with yoga, meditation, and massage to build and restore the body.

Wednesday, October 18:

This afternoon you will arrive in Cancun.  After clearing customs, you will be transferred by vehicle to the ferry dock for your boat ride to Isla Mujeres. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure on the beach and then participating in a late afternoon yoga session led by Michelle. This evening, spend time getting to know your fellow travelers at a special welcome dinner. 

 

Thursday, October 19:

Start your morning off right with a yoga session in the beautiful yoga palapa with Michelle, followed by a unique beach fitness experience with Sara.

 

Enjoy the day at leisure or consider an optional tour such as snorkeling or paddle boarding.

Rejuvenate with a late afternoon yoga session before exploring Isla Mujeres for dinner on your own.

 

Friday, October 20:

Start your morning off right with a yoga session in the beautiful yoga palapa with Michelle, followed by a unique beach fitness experience with Sara.

 

Enjoy the day at leisure or consider an optional 10 mile round-trip power walk to the end of the Isla and back with Sara.

Rejuvenate with a late afternoon yoga session before exploring Isla Mujeres for dinner on your own.

 

 

 

Saturday, October 21:

Start your morning off right with a yoga session in the beautiful yoga palapa with Michelle followed by a unique beach fitness experience with Sara.

Enjoy the day at lesiure or consider an optional tour such as snorkeling.

This afternoon, enjoy one last afternoon yoga session together.

 

Sunday, October 22:

Start your morning off right with an early-risers yoga session on the beach with Michelle and Sara.

This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to the Cancun airport for your flight home.
