Welcome to the Land of Smiles!  Between the beautiful landscapes, the friendly people and the delicious food, this trip will be one to remember.  The itinerary splits time between Chiang Mai in the North where you will be introduced to Thai culture and Koh Samui in the South which is known for its white sand beaches.  Yoga sessions and spa treatments are included in the journey, so you can be sure this trip will be rejuvenating for mind, body and spirit.

Itinerary - 9 Days

DAYS 1 and 2: U.S./Bangkok
Sawatdee! Arrive into Bangkok Suvannbhumi International Airport and transfer to Le Meridien Suvarnabhumi Resort & Spa.

 

DAY 3: Bangkok - Chiang Mai
After breakfast, take a short flight to Chiang Mai. The city is a showcase of the

North’s fascinating indigenous cultural identity that includes diverse dialects,

delectable cuisine, distinctive architecture, traditional values, lively festivals,

numerous handicrafts, workshops, northern-style massage and classical dances.

You'll enjoy a local lunch before continuing to your hotel to check in and relax. 

Enjoy exploring Chiang Mai for the evening.

DAY 4: Chiang Mai
Today offers a special experience with a half-day yoga session in the Lanna Rice Barn which features beautiful traditional Thai architecture. Lunch will highlight northern-style cuisine with milder curries, lots of ginger and sticky rice. Relax in luxury this afternoon as you enjoy a traditional Thai massage at the Oasis Spa.  Dinner is served at a local restaurant on the Ping River.

DAY 5: Chiang Mai
Today will be spent participating in a full-day experience at the Elephant Nature Park. Activities will include feeding elephants, going on a walk with them and bathing them in the river. Elephant Nature Park is a rescue and rehabilitation center that has gained recognition for its respectful approach to elephant tourism without exploiting the animals. Enjoy your evening at leisure.

DAY 6: Chiang Mai - Koh Samui
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading to the airport to fly south to Koh Samui. Get settled into your resort and scope out the pool before your group gathers for a sunset dinner on the beach.

DAY 7: Koh Samui
Today you will have a half day session at the world-renowned Absolute

Yoga Sanctuary.  Absolute Sanctuary offers a wide variety of yoga styles

in a beautiful setting.  A healthy lunch will be served after your session.

This afternoon is yours to explore the beach or local town.

DAY 8: Koh Samui - Bangkok

After breakfast, get out on the water as you're taken to the island of Koh Tan.

There is a small pristine fishing village on the island but no cars or roads. You'll be able to snorkel and sun bath on the white sandy beaches and enjoy a picnic lunch. After lunch, you'll head to the airport for your flight back to Bangkok.  Enjoy your final dinner with your group before spending your last night at Le Meridien Suvarnabhumi Resort & Spa. DAY 9: Bangkok - US

Transfer to Bangkok Suvannbhumi International Airport for your departure flight. (B)
